FAQ

What vehicles do you specialise in?
We specialise in European vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Porsche, MINI, Peugeot, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar and Land Rover. Whether your car is due for a routine service or needs more extensive repairs, our experienced technicians have the tools and expertise to get it back on the road.

Where is Cruise Automotive located?
You’ll find Cruise Automotive at 22 Whiting Street, Artarmon NSW. We welcome customers from Artarmon, Chatswood, Lane Cove, North Sydney, St Leonards and surrounding suburbs looking for trusted European vehicle servicing.

Do you service other vehicle makes?
Yes. While European vehicles are our specialty, we also service a range of other makes, including Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Kia and Hyundai. If you’re unsure whether we can help with your vehicle, simply get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise.

Do you offer log book servicing?
Yes. We carry out manufacturer log book servicing using quality parts, approved fluids and the correct service procedures, helping keep your vehicle performing as it should.

Will servicing my car outside the dealership void my warranty?
No. Under Australian Consumer Law, your new car warranty remains valid when your vehicle is serviced by a qualified independent workshop using the correct parts and service procedures.

What happens during a service?
Every vehicle is different, but a standard service typically includes replacing the engine oil and filter, checking all major fluids, inspecting the brakes, suspension, steering, tyres and battery, and completing a general safety inspection. We’ll also let you know if we identify anything that needs attention.

Can you diagnose engine lights and electrical faults?
Absolutely. We use advanced diagnostic equipment designed for European vehicles to quickly identify fault codes, warning lights and electrical issues, allowing us to accurately diagnose the problem before carrying out repairs.

What types of repairs do you carry out?
From minor repairs to major mechanical work, we can help with brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, engine repairs, transmission issues, air conditioning, diagnostics and much more.

Do you use genuine parts?
We use genuine manufacturer parts or premium OEM-quality components, depending on your vehicle and your preferences. We’ll always discuss the best option with you before any repairs begin.

How often should I service my European vehicle?
Most manufacturers recommend servicing every 10,000 to 15,000 kilometres or every 12 months, whichever comes first. Following the recommended service schedule helps maintain reliability, performance and long-term value.

How long will my service take?
Most routine services are completed the same day. If your vehicle requires additional repairs or specialist parts, we’ll keep you updated and provide an estimated completion time.

Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend booking ahead to secure a time that suits you. You can contact our team by phone or through our website to arrange your appointment.

Can you provide a quote before starting work?
Of course. Once we’ve assessed your vehicle, we’ll explain what we’ve found and provide a clear, upfront quote before carrying out any repairs.

Do you stand behind your workmanship?
Yes. We take pride in the quality of our work and back our repairs with a workmanship warranty, alongside applicable manufacturer warranties on replacement parts.
